During law school at the University of Missouri -- Columbia, Brett served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Missouri Law Review and received Order of the Coif honors. Following graduation, Brett served as judicial law clerk for the Honorable William Ray Price, Jr. of the Supreme Court of Missouri and practiced in the area of commercial litigation for a renowned Kansas City law firm.
Since joining the firm in 2004, Brett has represented victims and families of victims in Missouri and across the country who have been seriously injured in lawsuits involving dangerous products, automobile collisions and fires, defective automobile design, semi-truck collisions and a variety of other cases.
Brett serves on the Board of Governors for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA) and is involved in a number of legal organizations, including the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (AIEG), American Association for Justice (AAJ), Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA), and the Lafayette County Bar Association.
